ZINGO 2 Updates

The current version is ZINGO 2 Release 2a.

If you have an older version, you can update it for free by following the directions on this page. You will have to download and run a patch program. The patch program will ask you for a password. You will find the password in your Zingo 2 Manual. Look up SAME DIFFERENCE in the table of contents and turn to that page. The password is the page number followed immediately by the last word on that page (all in lower case, with no punctuation).

For example, if SAME DIFFERENCE were on page 33, and the last word on page 33 were frog, the password would be 33frog .

To update your version, download the patch, copy it to the directory where you installed ZINGO 2, and run the patch program. When it asks for the password, type it in.

Here are step-by-step instructions:

Click HERE to download the patch. The patch is 406,359 bytes long. Save the patch to your hard disk -- do not run it yet. Save it to the directory where you installed ZINGO 2. Unless you changed it during the installation, this directory will be c:\Program Files\Zingo 2 .
If you are running ZINGO 2 right now, exit it. (You cannot patch a program while you are running it.)
When the patch has finished downloading, run it. One easy way is to double-click the My Computer icon on your desktop, then open folders until you get to the folder where ZINGO 2 is. Then double-click z2patch1 (which is the patch file).
You will be asked if it is okay to replace Zingo2.exe . Enter y to answer yes.
You will be asked for the password. Type it in. (The password will not appear on your screen.)
When the patch is finished, it will close automatically. Now run ZINGO 2.
Click Help and About Zingo 2. It should say ZINGO 2 Release 2a. You are done!
