If you want to retrace how the game was played, read the instructions below.
You can also check the complete list of mission statements from different rounds of the game and visit the Hall of Fame to see the winners.
Play Our Email MISSION Game: Just Two Words! All you have to do is to come up with two appropriate words. You can win in this round of the email game.
WHAT YOU DO. Imagine that you are starting a web-based training corporation. Write a 2-word statement that captures the essence of your corporate mission. Your mission statement should have exactly two words--no more, no less. (This is based on the theory that if you need more words, you have thought through your mission.)
WHAT YOU WIN. Our international panel of judges will select the top five entries. We will post the names of the top five entries in our Hall of Fame website page (http://www.thiagi.com/email-mission-halloffame.html ) along with the recipients of additional awards.
DETAILS. Send your 2-word mission statement (along with the name of your corporation) to thiagi@thiagi.com . Please type MISSION - 2 WORDS on the subject line.
IF YOU ARE AN ESTABLISHED PLAYER and if you have played in our previous three rounds, please keep your corporate name the same. Send that name along with your four-word mission statement.
DEADLINE. We are giving you plenty of time so you don't get stressed out during the holidays. Send your entry before 11:59 PM, Thursday January 6, 2000. We will post the results on Saturday January 8, 2000.
PROCEDURAL HINT. Here are three suggestions that my clients have found useful:
CONTENT HINT. Actually, this is the fifth round of our email game. During the first round, we asked for a 32-word statement. During the second round, we asked for a 16-word statement. During the third round, we asked for a 8-word statement. During this fourth round we asked for a 4-word statement. During this fifth round, we are asking for a 2-word statement. (Relax, this is the first round. We are not going to torture with a single-word constraint.)
All of the previous statements are listed on our web site at http://www.thiagi.com/email-mission.html . You may want to visit this page, review the valuable content, and creatively borrow ideas and words.
REMEMBER. Two words. January 6, 2000. Hall of Fame!
All you have to do is to come up with four appropriate words. You can win a $50 gift certificate!

PROCEDURAL HINT. Here's one suggested procedure that I created out of ideas from Tom Gilbert and Lou Russell (author of The Accelerated Learning Fieldbook).
Obviously, this is not the world's best mission statement and it will not win the prize. But, hey, it was just an example. You can do better. Use your own technique.
CONTENT HINT. Actually, this is the fourth round of our email game. During the first round, we asked for a 32-word statement. During the second round, we asked for a 16-word statement. During the third round, we asked for a 8-word statement. During this fourth round we are asking for a 4-word statement. (Can you guess what we will ask for during the next--and final--round.?) All of the previous statements are listed on our web site at http://www.thiagi.com/email-mission.html . You may want to visit this page, review the valuable content, and creatively borrow ideas and words.
REMEMBER. Four words. December 16, 1999. Fifty bucks!
